Hit record, let’s go…
Words I found on repeat over the last few years as I journeyed through moments that were more than I can handle kinda moments, looking for some sort of comfort, medicine for the soul. Music has always realigned and reconnected my heart to the only One who has ever brought me any real solace in the midst of the ever distorting outside noise of my world that seems to spiral out of control the moment I take my song off of Him.
This is just that… No attempt to write songs for the spaces I’ve had the prior privilege of finding God’s gift on my life exist. But instead, just picking up an instrument and letting something out that is completely prayer, completely worship, completely me just seeing where the song in me can go when abandoned to the moment. I’m here, this is real, and these songs and their making of have been a retreat for my soul through the seasons of the last few years of my life. Now, whoever you are, and wherever you find yourself reading this, if you’re living in the middle of what was and what is to come of your life and you’re unsure of which way is up, maybe these songs, this interlude, could bring you some joy, some peace, some healing, some truth, some conviction and courage that maybe you’re right where God want’s you to be… Happy listening…
